1. Information Gathering 🔍
An initial meeting allows us to assess your goals and expectations for your project. The challenges, constraints, and opportunities are identified to better guide the design of the playground. This step includes:
Analysis of your wishes.
Definition of play elements, overall aesthetics, circulation, materials, and budget.
Preparation of a proposal adapted to potential grant applications.
Discussion of your expectations and a maintenance plan.
2. Development of Your Earthscape Wooden Park Concept 📐
With the Earthscape design team, mainly composed of landscape architects, you will be involved throughout the design process, with minor adjustments until final validation. This step includes:
Creation of CAD drawings and 3D models with material selection (colors and finishes).
Ensuring full compliance with CSA standards.
Final design revisions before final approval.
3. Prefabrication and Site Preparation 🛠️
Earthscape prefabricates as many elements as possible in its workshop in Wallenstein, Ontario, allowing for:
Reduced installation time on site.
Controlled environment fabrication of platforms, cabins, walls, and climbers to ensure optimal quality.
Use of durable wood species, carefully treated to ensure their longevity.
4. On-site Installation 📍
We suggest working with our Techsport team. With our expertise in landscaping, our Techsport installation team ensures timely installation according to the highest quality standards. This phase includes:
Interaction with children and staff to explain the construction process.
A clean, respectful, and well-organized installation.
An immersive experience allowing children and staff to follow the project’s progress.
5. Ready to play! 🎉
Once the final inspection is carried out by a certified playground safety expert, the space is ready to welcome children!
A maintenance manual is provided to ensure the longevity of the playground.
Earthscape and Techsport remain available to offer advice and assistance on maintenance.
Feedback is collected through a post-occupancy evaluation to optimize future designs.
